We have a winner! As always, I really enjoyed reading all of your comments – there were some expected favorite toys, and then there were some unexpected ones as well! Using random.org’s number generator, our winners are (cue drumroll!):
Winner of the Frog Tiny Tug Toy – Kimberly, who said:
“I loved legos as a kid and love them now with my own kids!”
Winner of the ladybug Tiny Tug Toy – Lisa, who said:
“I loved playing Barbies with my sister, we had so much fun =)”
I would also like to point out (perhaps we call this an honourable mention?) Brita’s favorite toys as the Most Unique:
“It was a collection of tiny aluminum off-cuts from some industrial process. They were rectangles of about 1/2″ x 3/4″ and they offered the opportunity to make almost endless variations – different geometric patterns and pathways and designs – that I would lay out on the floor. Hours of creative fun!”
I think I’m jealous of those aluminum bits. All of my favorite toys were creative things as well!
Thanks again to everyone for participating! Stay tuned for more giveaways to come …

Thanks for the honorable mention! And I didn’t even mention the small blue glass tile that was part of the “set,” and which looked like a little piece of the ocean (and which I still have)…or the tiny playland for my Strawberry Shortcake doll that I made in a little doll bed, using colored paper and string and bobbins and plastic pin boxes and… This contest was fun – it’s evoked childhood times I haven’t thought about for a long time, and is a good reminder that almost anything can be a toy. Let the imagination roam wild!
