Lilli Pops Designs Custom Father's Day Dress

In case no one in your household has reminded you, Father’s Day is June 20th. And I just realized that’s less than 2 weeks away. Which means, in many ways, sumer is almost 30% gone already. Well, it will be in 2 weeks. Um, that sucks. Especially when we’re suddenly stuck in a cold rainy weather pattern that keeps me thinking summer hasn’t even started yet. So by the time I wrap my head around the idea of summer – and get prepared for swimming pools, playground trips, the perfect sunny day that never quite arrives, fall will be here. And this, my friends, is the problem with my brain. Somehow I went from Father’s Day (yay!) to oh-my-god-I’ve-missed-summer(boo!). No wonder I get stressed out.

I’d found Lilli Pops Designs awhile ago thanks to another blog (though, as demonstrated above, my brain is too chaotic to remember exactly where I saw this originally. My humble apologies, fellow blogger). I knew I was saving it for daddy-time. Because I’m guessing most of us can agree on one thing: finding thoughtful, affordable gifts for the dads out there is damn near impossible. If he wants it, I swear it requires at least 3 digits in the price and multiple acronyms in the title (let’s say, hypothetically, it might be a $2000 LED backlit LCD HDTV). I won’t even mention the specificational jargon. Wow, I’ve totally digressed again.

So Lilli Pops Designs has us covered: send Jayme one of Daddy-o’s old shirts and she’ll turn it into a custom-made dress for your little girl – size 6m – 6x. There are several styles available to choose from, and I’m already having trouble deciding which one. One note, these items are so popular this time of year, shipping takes 3-4 weeks. Which, yes, puts us past Father’s Day. But hey, us creative types can find a way to take a snippet of that shirt, some ribbon, a note and a picture to tell the story of his future gift right? And might I suggest that, when it arrives, put it on your daughter and let her show it off for you, all stealth-like. I wonder how long it’ll take for him to figure it out …
