You know what I really hate , I mean, dislike? August 1st. It’s looming over me. It’s rough enough when you realize you only have 4 more weekends of summer left. But I like to compound the dread by teaching at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The College’s classes, of course, start in August. So uh, I’ve got, like, 3 weeks. I need to put up signs everywhere that say “Don’t Panic”. Or, the new indie catchphrase: “Keep Calm and Carry On”. How about we practice a little avoidance and exchange some links! What was your favorite find this week on the web? Share it in the comments (it could certainly be from your own blog if you need a little boost!)
- (Image above) This amazing installation floors me. Ha, I’m so funny. Great as art, but I suddenly want vinyl floors in my home and in Birdie’s Playroom. Just think of the possibilities. via Design for Mankind.
- To follow up on Chris’s post on Here Comes Science, check this great list of Kindie Music via Dad Revolution. Very good stuff.
- I’ve had my Poketo wallet for years now, and I still love it. It’s indestructible and arty and fun. Finding out Poketo is coming to Target in August has me salivating! Found via Lushlee.
- I now have to learn how to sew. I need to make this children’s capelet for Birdie (and just think of the fun Superhero capelets for the boys in your life.) You too can learn how to sew with this online class!
- A lovely example of how simple a MId-Century Mod Play House can be – you, too, can be this stylish. via Ohdeedoh.
