Let’s go in a little different direction today and focus on things with some handmade flair, like Twirls and Twigs. Made from recycled and reused materials (with a bit of the new when a little oomph is needed) this collection is full of super-soft toys, blankets, and lots of quirky patterned clothes. I had to feature this hedgehog (porcupine? doesn’t matter!) because I think I’m a sucker for rick rack? It reminds me of my grandma’s housedresses. But I digress. The blankets are the softest recycled cotton (from Tshirt scraps) I’ve felt in a long time, with a thick, nubby texture that feels extra good under your hands. With prices for the plush ranging between 24 to 48 dollars, these guys are the perfect affordable luxury. Take a peek at Twirls and Twigs’ websites to see more of Shawna’s quirky designs.

We have one of her blankets and it’s gotten a lot of use over the last 16 months! So cuddly, warm, and full of character–I want more from her line for our newest addition due in April!
I agree, that recycled T-shirt fabric is so thick and luscious (not like a thin Tshirt at all) that I gave in and bought one from her booth the next day! So happy I did, now that our temps are dropping.
I have the pink Owl dress for my Ella, and its super soft and so sweet. Its lasted through a lot of parties, definitely good quality!
Oh good, Jessica, thanks for letting us know!!
