I grew up with annual Easter Egg hunts in our backyard, and I now feel the need to continue the tradtiion even though we are not of the church-going persuasion. Like I said the other day, magical bunnies and sunny spring mornings? What’s not to love?
I’ll be adding these Easter Egg Penants to our plastic Easter eggs this year – I’m hoping they’ll help Birdie find them even in long grass or slightly hidden locations. I thought if they could just shout out their hidey holes that she’d have more fun. Make sure to click the links below the images to download the full pdf file for printing!

I’ve also included these quick tags, fold them in half and wrap them around your Easter baskets, or wrap them around some ribbon and tie to the Easter Bunny’s loot.

And download my other free printables from last week – Baabsie Lamb and Teensie Bunny Printable Paper Puppet Downloads. Also, did you see my sweet little chubster pom pom bunny diy? He’s super easy, I promise.

What a clever idea! C was a few months shy of 2YO when he hunted for eggs the first time & understood perfectly what to do. I have tons of cute pics of him picking up eggs & putting them in the basket. Birdie will be a pro, too!
Thanks Kris! I’m feeling pretty good about Birdie figuring it out -she’s always finding the darnedest things around the house too!
these are so cute! we dont do easter at our house, but i am going to take my kids to the easter egg hunt in our town b/c it just sounds so fun and i’m all for multi-cultural experiences!
You know, it’s funny, I always think of Easter Egg Hunts as a very secular thing to do. But I’m running into the opinion that Easter – and therefore Easter Eggs – is only a religious holiday. I guess I’ve never felt that way!
