The stories? Monsters just trying to fit in like the rest of us, as written by Michael Dahl. Bud isn’t a very good listener (even with his humongo ears). Hannah has a case of cold feet (ice blocks, in fact). Poor George only has one head in a family of two-fers. And Harvey just isn’t ready for his baby sibling.
The illustrations? Miguel Ornia-Blanco, a.k.a. Migy. And they’re pretty dang near perfect. Irreverent, hilarious, modern, quirky, and oh-so-not-sweet. It feels a little like a crazy mixing between Gary Baseman and Friends With You, meeting in a very yummy middle ground full of candy.
