Skip Hop’s newest debut is a line of totally trend-worthy baby toys, I got my first glimpse at the ABC Kids Expo in Vegas (and here’s some of their other new kid designs!). Now the line is officially here for all of us to enjoy. The Treetop Friends collection include an activity gym, mirror, and several sizes of stroller toys and activity pals. Every toy is full of owls, trees, and other adorable woodland creatures. I’m particularly found of the Night & Day Discovery Toy, what a smart design solution – using a daytiem and night sky for each side! Now that November is here, I’m thinking a green, summery line like this could be just the start to help us through the upcoming winter, what about you?

lovely. a nice break from the bright primary color palette?
Exactly. It’s been happening in soft baby toys for a couple of years. I’m still wondering if it will translate to plastic toys overall. I think primary will stay with some brands forever and ever. Eh. I prefer more sophisticated color palettes!
Oh, I thought it was just me that didn’t buy toys with hideous primary color schemes. I see now that I’m in good company. And why do little boy clothes only come in four colors: navy, red, neon orange and tan? Bleh.
