a book with magical buttons

Chronicle Books' Press Here Interactive Children's Picture Book by Herve Tullet

Innovative. The word makes me a little giddy. It’s my favorite thing to find. It’s even headier when combined with another favorite thing: a book. Press Here by Hervé Tullet ($14.99) is both of those things in their simplest forms. It’s like he’s poking fun at our current dilemna: Nook, Kindle, or iPad? Forget the ebooks, Press Here is interactive too. Each page asks you to do a simple task, and when you turn the page – you’ve magically pushed the buttons that create a new reaction. It’s pretty neat-o, and the kids in the suh-weet video below prove the point.

Stop by Chronicle Books’ Press Here website to get some great printable, downloadable freebies (scroll down, you can make your own mini book!) And on an unrelated but equally cool note, make sure you enter this week’s Furry Pod Chair Giveaway!
