more or less: Stella McCartney Kids

Stella McCartney Winged Bonnie Culotte Romper Suit

The biggest problem with being a gal in love with cool things, and a gal in love with a good deal? There are many moments in life when the two shall never meet. Take, for instance, a stunning brand like Stella McCartney Kids. I’m head over heels for the Stella McCartney Bonnie Winged Culotte Suit. But, for $88 and with a more practical momma mindset, I doubt it will find itself on my 2 year old. So what’s a gal to do? Find some other options, more or less.

Unfortunately, this particular item is rather, erm, unique. So I’m giving in, and showing you some separates that add up to the same thing. Plus, of course, the bargain-hunter argument is you’re getting more value – these wings can be worn with anything!

Above: OshKosh Kids Striped Romper, $12.99 & Sarah’s Silks Fairy Wings, $29.00

Above: The Children’s Place Chambray Romper, $19.95 & DIY Patchwork Wings Tutorial

And, last but not least, to go with all of the above and especially with SMK’s original Culotte Suit, my favorite winged shoes from Small Fly, $17.00:

I’ll be revisiting this theme of More or Less again soon – and if you have any amazing fashion finds you just can’t afford, send them my way and we’ll see what we can do!

I nabbed some great Stella steals from the Gap sales, I remember well. So sad to see them out of the Gap!
Birdie’s Auntie Amy made a set of wings using those DIY instructions – they work really well! We love them.

It seems she liked it sooo much she left to create her own kids line! Gap’s was slightly more affordable and more accessible. (especially when sale season hit!)
