I’m cutting myself some slack today. Tomorrow I’ll be leaving for the best design blog conference ever, Alt Summit. Lots of friends, sponsors, information, inspiration, and I’ll be speaking about one of my favorite things: Pinterest. Maybe I’ll see you there! And when I return, we’ll be in the middle of Valentine’s preparations. At least, we’re supposed to be. So here are my favorites to get you started.
Sometimes I like a project so much I know I’ll never top it. These are some of those projects!
These are my latest Valentines – I know, I have a thing for monsters. But aren’t they sweet? Print out these Monster Finger Puppet Valentines double-sided and hand them out as cards, then the kids can cut them out and have some finger puppet fun!
These little monsters and their transparent hearts came in such a flurry of inspiration that I hardly feel like they belong to me. God I love it when that happens! Print these Printable Monster Valentines and give them to everyone you love!
Take some paper candy liners – or make some giant cards with cupcake liners – and get to crafting your own DIY Valentine’s. These are super simple. See the DIY Candy Cup Tutorial for all the deets.
I still love Poppy the Paper Doll – would you like to see more fashions for her? Let me know in the comments. In the meantime, download Poppy the Paper Doll and her fashionable ensembles, wrap them up with ribbon and give them to someone special.
Sometimes a good idea doesn’t have to be complicated at all. These hearts are super easy to make – take a peek at the Neo Geo Hearts DIY Valentines and make some of your own!
Birdie – at the ripe old age of 3 – was able to make these for all of her preschool classmates last year. Make your own Love Tokens to give the those you love the very best, or everyone at your school too!
Looking for an easy toddler-made Valentine’s Card? This project lets you get creative too. Just let your kidlet doodle away on pre-cut pieces of paper. Connect the doodles into hearts and send off to the grandparents!
This post is a re-post from years past, but it’s a goodie, don’t you think?
